Clay: Held by Earth

Clay-Field

Cornelia Elbrecht, Sensoriomotor Art therapy approach. This modality is what I’d call an intimate version of externalisation. It lends itself to ritual and birthing new possibilities. Video

Clay Therapy

Patricia Sherwood’s book “The Healing Art of Clay Therapy” is a great inspiration here. We behold and transform. We can create objects of holding (like nests), objects of sacred remembering and symbols to let go of (return to the earth).

In-person sessions
Clay-based sessions tend to be most powerful when held in a series of at least 3

Meeting Earth on the Ground

My future intention is to work with clay outdoors. Birthing ourselves up, and returning to the ground. Under the sky or in a earth-floor tent? I haven’t fully worked this idea through, and would be committed to acting ethically with the land.
